Artist Statement

As a designer, I aim to represent concepts in a clear and visually appealing way. I like working with bold and bright colors that attract the viewers attention. I believe this might be a result of my growing up in Mexico, where every house is painted a different color and the bright sunlight enhances every hue.

My design process starts with sketching, which allows me to jot down different ideas and visualize a varied number of possibilities. I select a few and develop them further, which eventually leads to digital translations. In the end, I like having a few options to chose from in order to work towards the creation of the final product. During the process I always go back and take a look at what I’ve done; sometimes I realize that my current design can be developed even further.

Every project I work on teaches me new things: new ways to work with the software and new techniques to implement in my future endeavors. Additionaly, I like looking at what I could have done better, which makes me improve and keep developing as a designer.

I have worked with different clients and for different types of organizations. I believe I can adapt and work efficiently in order to fulfill the client’s needs. Personally, I use design as a way to express myself and my emotions. I like to stand out and be bold and different, which I believe can be seen in my personal work.
